With Christmas just weeks away everyone is shopping for deals, bargains, discounts and special savings coupons, especially this year.
If you don’t subscribe to a newspaper now would be a good time to buy a copy since most are full of sale circulars from many of your favorite discount retailers like Best Buy, Sears, K-Mart and many more.
These days newspapers offer as their value proposition how much money they can save you by clipping their money saving coupons. And, you know what? They’re right! A dollar or two invested in a newspaper can return hundreds of dollars of useful coupons during Christmas shopping season – so buy one (and keep a newspaper journalist employed through the holidays.)
You probably are also finding your mailbox filled with circulars for local retailers, although they may be fewer in number than in the past.
It’s probably a good time to check your email settings to be certain you’re not filtering out emails coming from your favorite stores. I know I don’t usually care for receiving daily coupons by email during most of the year but now is the time to open the gates wide because the bargains are coming fast and furious.
I’m afraid to say that I’m not overly impressed with many (most) of the coupon websites I come across in the search engines. Too many have out-of-date coupons and such sites are often optimized to rank for searches for coupons, without the real commitment of serving the visitor everything they might expect. So I would advise that IF you really want to receive the best coupons you make certain to sign up for the e-mail list of your favorite retailers. You can always filter their email AFTER Christmas.
